Electro Case

2021

Mixed media / Electrical cables, electrical connectors, socket, plug

320 x 64 cm

Electrical cables and connectors are intricately woven together into a network resembling a hammock, designed to fit the dimensions of a single body. The hammock is constructed so that the connectors create potential junctions for electric currents, which, upon plugging the socket into the plug, envelop the body cradled within it. These currents collide with one another, eventually leading to a short circuit. Black electrical cables appear in many of my works as a byproduct of the mechanical tools I use. In this piece, the cables and the potential flow of electricity serve as the central material—treated ready-made objects—and they transform into an independent sculpture for the first time.

Free Fall

2021

Drawing / Ink and graphite on paper, acrylic glass, iron chain, fishing hook

65 x 60 cm / 56 x 50 cm

The work consists of two double-sided drawings of flowers in freefall. The lines are dense, almost like exposed flesh, creating a visceral and intimate texture. Flowers are symbols that carry dual associations: they mark moments of joy and celebration, yet they are also placed on graves, carrying with them an inevitable connection to loss. In this piece, I release flowers that appear almost alive, imbued with expression, allowing them to fall freely, capturing both their fragile beauty and their inherent transience.
